D. Yhale Scott is the Founder and Director of the Oʻahu Tennis Association and a nationally recognized high-performance tennis coach with decades of experience developing players at every level of the game.
As a player, Yhale competed on the professional circuit and in numerous elite junior tournaments, where he discovered his passion for coaching and player development. Throughout his career, he has coached and trained ATP, WTA, ITF, and USTA nationally ranked players, as well as collegiate athletes, nationally ranked juniors, and adult competitors across all NTRP levels.
Yhale is the creator of the PHD System™ and the Core Four™ Strategy, innovative player development methodologies designed to accelerate improvement and help athletes maximize their potential through a comprehensive approach to technical, tactical, physical, and mental performance.
A graduate of UCLA, Yhale holds multiple industry-leading certifications, including: RSPA Certified ELITE Professional, PTR Certified Professional, USTA Sports Science Level II, USTA High Performance ELITE Tennis Coach and several other accolades in the Tennis industry.His coaching philosophy extends beyond developing exceptional tennis players—it is centered on building confident individuals, lifelong athletes, and a lasting passion for the game.
